Satan isn’t fictional, even though our culture tends to dismiss him as a myth, or even a joke.  Satan is a living spiritual being, with real power and a real agenda.  He despises God and hates us.  He is mentioned in seven books in the Old Testament, and he’s acknowledged by every writer of the New Testament as God’s enemy and ours.
